Why Israel’s current offensive is doomed to fail              After the War in Ukraine...              Overpaid Councillors Denbighshire and Conwy              Too little too late – The real Cybersecurity Story
6th August 2025

I haven't been slacking, I have wanted to write, but my body had different ideas about my ability to sit anywhere except on the toilet!

On Sunday (3rd) I felt every joint in my body ache in a way similar to having the Flu, but no other symptoms to go with it. So Sunday afternoon I took Ange to the Rhos-On-Sea Golf Club for their Sunday Carvery. The staff were brilliant and the Chef was really helpful and accommodating. We Ange had the Beef and I had Turkey with all the trimmings. Afterwards we had the Honeycomb Cheesecake which came with ice cream. Everything was really great and I enjoyed it immensely.

However, by the time we got back home, the aching joints had been joined by a really intense headache and I spent the next 48 hours in bed with occasional trips to the bathroom each followed by doses of Imodium.

So, am I better? Nope!! Yesterday I had carrot and coriander soup and 4 hours later what went in came out looking the same! I'm not sure I will ever look at that soup the same way again. My guts hurt, I'm scared to fart and make many dashes to the toilet to find that I make an incredible sound similar to a bottom D# (pun intended).

At least I am eating small amounts of food to keep my strength up, but the hot sweats and cold flushes alongside the feeling of exhaustion are getting me down a bit.

Still, I have been able to keep an eye on some of the global news, in particular the things that idiot Trump has been doing. This next section from my AI Fact checking companion:

The Trump administration has directed NASA to prepare plans for terminating two major satellite missions focused on measuring carbon dioxide—specifically, the Orbiting Carbon Observatory satellites, which are critical for monitoring Earth's greenhouse gases and informing both scientific research and practical applications in agriculture and the energy sector. One of these satellites orbits independently, while the other is attached to the International Space Station. If terminated, the independent satellite would burn up in the atmosphere, effectively destroying it, and the ISS-based instrument would be powered down.npr+7

These satellites are currently the only federal missions that provide continuous, high-quality data on atmospheric carbon dioxide—essential data praised as the “gold standard” by NASA and outside experts. Their shutdown is widely criticized by scientists, policy experts, and Democratic lawmakers. Critics argue that ending these missions "would cripple global carbon dioxide monitoring, squander decades of public investment, and undermine national security," according to multiple experts and former NASA personnel.iflscience+3

Some experts caution the move may be "illegal" if it overrides Congressional appropriations and existing budgets. The Trump administration has justified the initiative as part of broader cost-cutting or agency "refocusing" efforts, but there is widespread concern that the impact would significantly weaken the U.S.'s ability to track and respond to climate change.futurism+4

At present, NASA is reportedly exploring options for private funding to keep at least one of the instruments operational as U.S. federal support is set to be withdrawn. Congress or legal intervention could still potentially alter the outcome, as the satellites remain operational and the plans are not yet finalized.uniladtech+1

In summary, Trump officials have formally moved to end NASA's two key carbon-monitoring satellites, and unless Congressional or legal action intercedes, these missions are likely to be terminated as directed.npr+9

So, why is the President being allowed to directly interfere with current operations and investments made by previous administrations; note I say administrations not Presidents? Simple, because unless you are a Texan it seems that people are not willing to stand up to this autocratic bully.

Trump is an enormous asshole and people need to stop being afraid of doing what they were hired for. If they lose their jobs there are plenty of others in good companies that would snap them up. When you are in Public Office, it is the Public you are serving, not an orange, small handed, law breaking criminal who throws tantrums.

Another example of his failure to serve the public is his announcement about Brazil, my AI fact checking friend says:

Donald Trump has increased tariffs on Brazilian goods largely for political reasons, specifically in response to the legal prosecution of Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s former right-wing president and a close ally of Trump. Trump has described the ongoing legal proceedings against Bolsonaro as a “witch hunt” and has openly objected to actions by the Brazilian Supreme Court, particularly targeting Justice Alexandre de Moraes, whom he claims is suppressing conservative voices and violating due process

I don't see this as political however, I see this as sticking up for his mate, that is not what the leader of a country should be doing with their power.

The man is unpredictable, he ignores the facts (and certainly doesn't spout them) he doesn't believe in science because he doesn't understand science, remember the "can we inject people with bleach" during Covid in a live broadcast. Idiot.

We have another 4 years of this mans antics, if he goes quietly....

Donald Trump has publicly discussed methods that might allow him to remain in office beyond his constitutionally limited two terms, even suggesting he is "not joking" about pursuing a third term. The most widely discussed options include:nbcnews+2

  1. Attempting to repeal or amend the 22nd Amendment, which prohibits anyone from being elected president more than twice. This would require significant support: a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress and ratification by three-fourths of the states, making it a very difficult path.politico+1
  2. Exploring constitutional loopholes. Some supporters and legal commentators note that the 22nd Amendment bars a person from being "elected" president more than twice but says nothing explicit about succession. Under this theory, Trump could potentially run as vice president on a ticket with a willing presidential candidate, who could then resign after taking office, allowing Trump to assume the presidency through succession. This strategy has never been tested and would almost certainly result in major legal and political challenges.bbc+2
  3. Relying on political allies to introduce constitutional amendments. For example, Representative Andy Ogles has proposed legislation that would allow Trump—or any president—to run for a third term, but there is little indication this would succeed given the high hurdles for constitutional change.nbcnews+2
  4. Trump also continues to assert and test the outer boundaries of executive power in other arenas, such as by proposing significant reductions in the federal bureaucracy and increasing presidential authority, leading some observers to characterize his administration's approach as pushing toward an "imperial presidency".lemonde

Despite Trump's rhetoric and the support of some allies, constitutional experts emphasize that any attempt for Trump to stay in power beyond a second term would face enormous legal and political obstacles. No concrete changes to law or the Constitution have yet occurred to enable a third term

I really can't believe that this cretin of a human being is allowed to run a country and got there because he inherited money and can buy what he needs to win. It seems that his fans are all from the same shallow end of the gene pool as he is. All I can hope for is that the Universe gets fed up of it's joke and replaces him sooner rather than later.
