We slept in today and then took it easy for the rest of the day. We arrived early at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes and walked Tallulah around part of the lake so she could do what dogs do. Doo doo doo.
Sitting outside the Lakeside pub and resteraunt it was Paul and Justine who turned up first, Paul had obviously lost weight and looked really fit and healthy.
It turns out that a diet and lots of cycling (cross country) and doing mountain bike events including London to Brighten (cross country) a couple of years on the run were the cause of the weight loss. Wow! What a change to lifestyle that must have been, congratulations Paul and son Ty who have done these challenges together.
Tony and Sue arrived when we were all seated, Tony walking on his own with his new prosthetic leg. That is quite something, I'm really proud of his determination to get mobile himself. It was a rough year last year for him with the amputation to deal with and then the recovery, building up strength so that he could become mobile again.
So good to catch up on the news with these guys, they are really great fun and just brilliant friends.
Driving back it was just great to spend time with Ange chatting and discussing the evening, of course Talullah just did what she does in the car and slept. We chilled for a bit when we got back to base and then headed for bed. We need to leave before 11am in the morning.
